Description
While perusing my local K-Mart for Monster High, I stumbled across this line of dolls by MGA.MGA is the (in)famous makers of the Bratz dolls. I have never disliked those dolls. Let me just put that out there. I've never had anything against Bratz the doll line. My main complaints with anything Braatz related come mainly from its vapid television show because is is obvious its makers have never actually spoken to teenage girls or women who have had plastic surgery.
Well, situated right next to the Monster High Ghouls are...wait for it... BRATZILLAZ.
I think that is the worst possible title for what this doll actually is.
When I hear "Bratzillaz," I immediately think of some giant dinosaur in makeup and platforms destroying Tokyo.
No.
Bratzillaz are the magical cousins of the Bratz who attend a secret academy to learn magic to do good in the world. Apparently, that translates to: Make you feel good about yourself through magical metaphors and learn how to magically put an outfit together and transform your clothes fairy godmother style.
I picked up Cloetta Spelletta, mistress of transmogrifications. She can turn herself into anything...and is working on learning to turn others into anything.
So...SHE IS A TRANSFORMER.
Okay, not really, she doesn't actually transform, but she does have a lot of cool features. Sort of. I meant physically.
1. HER INSET EYES.
I love inset eyes. I feel like they give dolls more dimension and soul. I would love it if monster high did some acrylic eyed dolls at some point. However, this can go horribly wrong in translation. I absolutely loathe the way LIV dolls eyes look. This kind of blank, intense stare at nothing. Cloetta's eyes don't do that at all.
2. Mismatch
One of my favorite "genres" of character fashion is mismatched/jeylll and hyde/TWO FACE. In my head, she's the magical illegitimate child of Harvey Dent.
3. Pink
My favorite color ever. That is all.
Her construction isn't perfect, and I'll detail that in her next deviation, but for now, enjoy Coletta and her use of Ghouls Rule Frankie Stein's Cauldron.

Magical illegitimate child of Harvey Dent XD
I can't say I'll ever liked Bratz myself. I never much liked the fashion-fashion-buy-me-feet aspect, and the weird proportions always threw me. I mean, if I wanted a snap-on-body-parts doll, there's Betty Spaghetty (at least, there was. don;t much like the tacky fur/real hair thing they've done to it). As much as I don't like the tiny, tiny waists on Monster High girls, they seem much better made and designed.
But these Bratz eyes are cool.

In an AU, Harvey Dent is totally a chance wizard. This is his little girl.
The feet thing was odd to me when I first saw it, but I got used to it. At least Bratzillaz actually have molded, non removable feet XD.
I love the eyes, too.
