Exploring the fallout of Discord's decisions in "Twilight's Kingdom" is a vein I'm very interested to see explored (to the point where I'm curious if it might form the epilogue of "Unexpected Symptoms of Tatzlwurm Flu", in fact), so this pic definitely strikes a chord with me. Again, you do a superb job of using Discord's unique body shape to your advantage; the way he curls up here feeds into the emotions of the scene perfectly. And I also really like your choice on what to do with Fluttershy: just...sitting there. Not touching him or talking, just being there for him, letting him handle these feelings on his own and in his own way but also providing the support and reassurance necessary with her presence. It's a clever and wonderfully-played bit of characterization that really makes the whole thing click. ^_^

It's funny, I actually have written something! I was intending it as a second fic, actually - but maybe I can work it in as an epilogue instead. We'll see!
And you know, I originally had Fluttershy up near Discord's head. The original though was to have her stroking his mane, but it just didn't look or right. I'm glad my second choice worked so well!

Well hey, feel free to still use it as a separate story; my comment was really based more on the fact that "Symptoms" was started before "Twilight's Kingdom" aired, yet a lot of its themes and ideas dovetail powerfully with Discord's character arc in that episode.
Yeah, I think you made the right call there; the mane-stroking would've been nice, but I think this moment works better for what it says and shows about the relationship these two have and how they're both processing Discord's actions.
