Just wondering if you could help me with one little thing plz:
I have flash 8.
I am able to do what you say in the tutorial when I have only one layer. But as soon as I try it with more than one layer I get these error messages for each layer.
For every layer I have I get:
**Error** Scene=Scene 1, layer=Layer 1, frame=1:Line 1: Mouse events are permitted only for button instances
on (press) {
**Error** Scene=Scene 1, layer=Layer 1, frame=1:Line 4: Mouse events are permitted only for button instances
on (release) {
I have tried it many times and I am sure that I am doing exactly as said in the tutorial. It works perfectly fine as long as I only have one layer.
So.. any idea why this is happening?

omg.. i have that problem too. Except my error, cuz i'm using flash pro trial (stupid adobe doesn't offer the normal version trial anymore, assmunches) says like
Syntax Error: Extra characters found after end of program"

this is an really old tutorial. id recommend you dont use it, or anyone else as a matter of fact. the version of flash used on this was MX. this is a 3 year old tutorial and my actionscript knowledge has developed alot.
Try this code. make sure that your clothing and whatever is a movie clip or a button.
on (press) {
startDrag ("");
}
on (release) {
stopDrag ();
}
If you have any problems with that, dont hesitate to ask.
