Fanart for Freecon 2014 featuring the two main characters, Noire and Gwendolen. It said they were university students, so I put them in a university setting…and for some reason they're wearing their Chronomancer outfits. *shrugs* It's cooler than their school uniforms, which are pretty standard.

This is the third time I've drawn a night setting, and the first time I've consciously thought about how colors look in the given lighting (I used a reference picture for the background) rather than just using the colors I know objects would have in normal daytime lighting. Not sure if I was entirely accurate still, so let's just call it Impressionistic (but feel free to call the carpet ugly-it sure is in real life!) Interestingly, I started this picture late at night and colored it mostly after 9:00 over a few nights.
