Description
This is the flag I made for my cosplay. It took hours just to paint because I was too lazy to make a stencil. The proportions are a bit off, but it's good enough for now. If I feel like it, I'll go back and adjust it later. The red is brighter in real life and the staff isn't bent. That's the just camera distortion.
I might make a better staff for it eventually.

It has a smooth side and a normal side. It was cut out from a blank banner.

Canvas. It's durable and paint-friendly. You can find it at some art stores.

Sure thing. I'm here to help.
If you make one and post pictures would you mind taking the trouble to link me to it/them? I'm curious to see how others handle the project.

I'll be playing Tak at InvaderCon and am also in the process of making a PAK. What method are you using for it? I'm having a hard time finding the right materials. The latest version is paper mache, but I don't think it's going to be up to my expectations.
I hope to grow my hair out like Tak's. Not sure yet if I'll dye it permanently or not, but so far I'm leaning towards temporary (for a number of reasons). I plan on making both her shirts, and they fit my style enough that I can wear them as every-day items. Ironically I think the hardest part is going to be finding a backpack that looks enough like hers. The shoes will be troublesome too, just because of the caps.

i saw shoes that look just like her's but they are in a small store that is only in NY instead you can go to hot topic but a pair of boots the right high and color is silver with fabric paint
you can get a wig a good one will be like 20 dollars
i am using a Styrofoam egg cutting it half then you can use paper mache and color is or you can sew fabric over it cause if you just paint it it will look very bad foam doesn't take paint very well

I hadn't thought of fabric paint. Brilliant.
Usually I use a wig for costumes, but I've been wanting to do something new with my hair anyway. lol.
I haven't been able to find any egg shapes. Just hollow domes (though I could shave them down a bit into the right shape). A friend used one of those and just painted it, and you're right, it didn't turn out well. I plan on seeing if I can put enough layers on it to smooth it out a bit. Or maybe use a gel base. It'll look like brush strokes even if I'm careful, but it's better than nothing, I guess.

you can die it the color but if your hair is dark you can bleach it first for a better color again go to hot topic best place for that stuff
you can find egg shape foam online just google it and you should find something

The main reason I'm avoiding permanent dye is because I'm blond, so once the color's in it's not coming out. lol. One time I did my hair cobalt blue and it wouldn't come out even months later despite using bleach.
I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

well you can go to your local beauty store and look at temporary hair die's and look at the back to see if its ok with your hair if not you can always use a color hair spray
