Now this. This I honestly regret leaving in my inbox for so long. This picture is... incredible. Beautiful. It's f*ckin' amazing. I'd call it your magnum opus to a degree if you didn't keep punching me with even more awesome work with each new upload spree. I mean, seriously, not to drop flattery on you, I think this picture is wonderful.
The composition is thoughtful, the depth is eye-catching. The technique... unique, effective. The design? Dayumn. I be jealous, gurl. An' I ain't no design slouch. See, you're making me lose track of my grammar and spelling here.

The face and head looks perfect above everything else in my opinion, it has such a living expression and it is just pretty smooth looking too.

I don't get how you make your poses look so real and fluid... They always look so nice and natural...
Your shading and the metal bits are really the highlight of the piece. I love the strange softness of the color and details, like her mouth which has that faded look.

Maybe. Well, it is true that I have improved a lot lately. Too bad I don't have time to color everything I make because I just won't post my best works that way. I should make a sketch dump once, I guess. Anyway, I still envy your skills. I remember when you did that Gitika design for me, it is still so epic. You have so much creativity which I clearly don't have. ;u; The only thing I have is: originality; the ability to make something new and the hate for drawing fan art. I mean, like, when I draw fan art, I will end up feeling not well.

What are your priorities? Posting your work, or getting better...? I mean, I think you should take it on terms of personal satisfaction.You're not illustrating as a job yet, and keep that in mind. You have as much freedom as you are willing to give yourself.
Trust me, all people are born with unlimited creativity. You just need to get used to unlocking it. Half the time, I have no idea what I am doing, and I don't really think about it while I am doing it, aside from little hunches and memories of things (Planning is for squares/People who are far more organised and smart than me |D).
In all honesty, though I would class what I draw as fanart, I am not doing it because I am a fan of Jhonen Vasquez and I am no longer doing it with the show Invader Zim in mind. I simply draw these characters now because I love telling their stories. The universe of Zim is really just a vehicle for the tales I tell. Besides, I could count on my fingers how many times I've drawn the actual canon characters from the show
Besides, I like originality, but I'm more about the fun.
