This-so-way-way-came-out-better-than-I-had-hoped~DKScharfrichter and I had been speculating on a fight scene between Alternative Saik and Legionarre Toko. Whatever was going to happen, it was going to be awesome >.>
Toko's details are uber fun to draw. I'd be happy to upload the plain lineart version of this sometime aswell. Spent about three or four days on it, total (and I've been sick, unfortunately, which lengthened the time a bit).
GLOWY. Hard-light offense in action, vs. that wicked looking kukhri of Toko's. Just don't let her get close to your neck with her teeth, Alt >.>
I chose not to show either of their faces- it's a furious whirlwind of a fight, though it looks like Toko's playing the agressor at the moment.
I went for cel-style colouring because I have a feeling that if I painted it, I would have lost some of the detail/ flow of the pose.

BADASS perspective---and glowing of course. c| I do like the perspective and overall feeling of battle, that came out fantastically, but it also feels like both their poses are a little too bunched up..hard to see. Unless that was your intention, but I feel that your style is more like a comic-style, with maybe some...graceful limb sticking out somewhere to add balance. xDahaha... But anyway, really fantastic job. <3

That perspective was really a big experiment for me, but I enjoyed drawing it.
Ah, yes, perhaps I should have given them a little more room, now that I look at it. At the time all I was thinking about was 'BAM PERSPECTIVE BAM BAM BAM!!!' XD

The perspective you were going for is quite dynamic and makes a mid action freeze frame. The foreshortening is quite well done for the most part and I like the way the contorted poses carry on the sense of movement. The solid, flat coloring has a nice quality to it as well, especially when combined with the glowing areas. The color palate all together is nicely unified.
Love the little detail of replicating the look of DKS's style of having highlights define the shape/details amidst the black. Very comic bookish feel.

Thank you! Foreshortening is still a bit of a slope for me, but I've been working hard on it lately and so this pose ended out better than I had hoped for when I began |D So thank you.
I am glad you think that the colouring suits, because it's always an area I try to work on and I need to improve on.
XD To be honest, it was a solution to a problem- if I hadn't highlighted, I would have lost all of that wonderful detail in the design, which I love and couldn't do without XD

AAARGh...just... too much amazingness! first DK's half now yours..i swera, im gonna explode XD Amazing movement here...you know there is a trick in comic design, when you make parts of the image, the hero, come outside the borders...cant help but think that this would look pretty striking that way XD but its absolutely perfect as it is! Well done!

This is a wonderfully inspiring piece of art. The flow of it, the power in every nuance of their poses. The piece feels like it is moving, even with the loving attention to the small details, like Toko's zipper tags or the emitters on the tips of Alt.'s antennae. It's all very powerful. Lastly the perfect choice to show neither of their faces in actually an eerie mirror to my own picture!
This is a fantastic way to capture Saik's graceful evasion and Toko's savage yet fluid assault. I honestly have to applaud your eye for action... superfluous work!! Thank you so much for this immortalisation of this conflict. We should honestly plan more for these two!

I am glad. I haven't really dared to try any kind of pose this complicated before, but this piece has given me the confidence to break barriers, so thank you for the challenge. The detail I thoroughly enjoyed adding, though I wish my own designs could have as much details as yours- Toko once again was an absolute joy to draw. A strange irony the lack of faces in both our pieces, I agree!
Action is something I love XD It's my pleasure to document a fight such as this. We really must expand on these skirmishes, I think, too.
