PHEW. This has taken me AGES. I've been on/off with it for a while, but I just spent about 4 hours today (ontop of like, 5 yesterday) finishing this CBI tried very hard with that painting style, I don't noramlly do it that realistically, so this took me a while to get it how I wanted. I'd appreciate some critique on that so I can see what to work on please C:
GAWD ALT. YER ARMOUR. *dies* I spent a long time reworking the pose and armour to get it looking right. I'm still not sure on the torso area, but it's difficult because the whole body is quite twisted and the hips seem narrower...
Atop of this, I tried a rediculous amount of effects that I have never attempted before. Eeehhh...
BUT. ENOUGH WHINING. I actually am very pleased with this piece, and it's been so long since I got a non-comic/non-contest/non-giftart digital artwork, so I'm feeling pretty good.
Alt's suit is waterproof for environmental purposes, so she just needs to keep her hear and fingertip above the water. Her glowy-tennors and things are switched off though.
Now I'm going to go colour my Core human concept XD

Her armour is sooo right. I just want to catch up to you soooo bad, you know that? XD You put so much volume and shape and them made it look even better with the reflecting water. Frankly, I can't see what you missed or didn't do right 
Hmm.. I'm just wondering now, the length of her head, I'm imagining the distance of her eyes to her mouth, is it just me or is that a little far? I honestly don't know.
This one does strike a cord with me though. Perhaps its the colour of the water, but it gives me memories.
Lovely work, well spent time. I always wish people's work like this where they spend hours on end to great personal perfection, would get more coverage. I really do wish it. But for now, works like these will be hidden treasures

I was looking through tutorials to see how to do the water right, and I found a good one. I'm not sure if it's in my faves or not. Lol, art so interesting you forget the story? I don't manage that very often.
Mmm, I'm starting to wonder if it's the fact that I work off a widescreen computer and this was done entirely digitally. I find the screen can actually warp pictures sometimes, so that they end up thinner. But then, it's probably just me making a terrible anatomical goof, lol.

Finally getting a bit of a chance to comment on some stuff, haha. Gorgeous work on the entirety of Saik's body. Her armour looks astounding, with such perfect little details. It really fits together well. As Diablo said, you've brought this out nicely with some lovely shading and lighting... the scene is very well manifested.
Keep it up! Damn, you're making me miss the tablet and scanner so much XD

i to me i don't see anything wrong with it the coloring looks right plus the lights in the pic. She in a good pose and the water even moveing with her and heck you got her reflection on the water and that to me is hard to make. This is one good damn pic you made.

Wow... I still adore your artwork. I'm just gonna start with something I thought was a little off, but the rest is totally fantastic. It looks like the face is a bit too long. The mouth is all the way below the arm, and it makes it a little overpowering to the rest of the body. I don't know if you meant it to look like that or I'm just insane

That armor fawking rocks, period, I love it and the color scheme that you've got going on.
The background feels very concept-art-ish, which is a good thing, it's there as a placeholder and identifiable, but we are still drawn and focused to the character in the foreground.
The lighting and shading is amongst some of your best I've seen yet, especially with the reflection of the water upon the armor.

All right, I've been watching you on, and off, for a couple days [weeks?] now. I do like this picture, quite a lot. It's one of your best, in my personal opinion, and it's very obvious you put a lot of thought, and hard work into it. I love the color selection, and I think the water is very well done. More importantly, I can't help but say that the detail on Saik's armor is very well done, including the reflection in the water, and of the water on the armor, giving an amazingly realistic feel. I do agree, the torso does look a bit off, but not much. I believe the waist/hips are perfect, nothing needs to be changed there. It's the reflection off the water giving you the idea that the hips are small. Over all, my critique isn't the best, but your art work is, and on a scale of one, to ten, I'd give this an [8.9]

The colour selection is really according to the character, but I'm glad you think it works. The water I spent quite some time on. I'm very glad you noticed the reflection on the armour- I don't use custom shape brushes, so that's an entirely from-scratch effect C:
The torso gave me a bit of trouble, next time I'll try use a reference. I'm glad the hips work out though.

Holy jesus christ!!! That is awesome ^_^ I really like the painting style you've used for the body, it looks like it was worth the time you spent on the piece.
The water looks good, but I'm not sure about the reflection... the simplified background looks almost like a speed paint, I reckon it really suits the feel of the picture as a whole.

This seriously looks stunning... You've outdone yourself on this one... The armor looks fantastic... I suck at critiques so.. if there's anything wrong with the pose I'm blind to it... I love it. This paint style just looks amazing.... And the skin looks wonderful. I looove the highlighting you did on the armor/suit..... and the way you colored the metallic bits looks great.
