Description This at first was a small project, a sketch, something simple for me two work on for practice.  As seems to be a pattern with my pictures it escalated. ...Quickly. 


It is still a rather sketchy image, not really supposed to look refined or polished up and pretty. I was just doing something for practice, that happened to turn into a big coloring practice image for me. This isn't really something I usually do. But why not for once try something new, kinda what my train of thought are here. Try something new, and push my boundaries a bit. How ever tedious, or detail filled.


I seem to take a bit too much satisfaction with demolishing ships with the Irken empire logo on it. In other words Armada vehicles. Perhaps that is because of the way the Empire is presented in the story *Alison-lynn and I are making, and how a majority of the plot revolves around the rebels. 


Or I might just like destroying things that belong to the biggest power out of spite. Either one works.

Amazing! I have a morbid fascination for ship graveyards/space death scenes, so this is was an instant fave.


Along with the moody color scheme, I'm ogling over the details you put into the wreckage, as well as the placement - the way you have the hull chunks diminishing toward the sun really gives the piece a sense of depth.

That makes two of us then! I always love the eerie quiet of those places, it just seems so well..for a lack of better word, dead. It fascinates me. 

Zerna pointed out the only thing missing was a couple dead bodies floating about. XD 


Thanks! I am still new to the whole perspective and background side of art, so I am still just experimenting with it all. But I am thrilled to hear that you like it, seriously!  may or may not be jelly over your gosh darn magical background skills

Pffssshh Detail yeeeaaah, I wish I hadn't grown impatient on it I wanted to add a bit more detail on the shadowing. 

Ohyes, lovely destruction. I always actually love seeing the destroyed remains of things makes you wonder how it got there or why it looks the way it does.

I do wish I could of refined it a bit more, but I really primarily just wanted to practice the coloring and the basic image of it anyways.

I always loved the sight of floating remains of things in space, thought I would try my hand at it.

I am thoroughly enjoying it all for some reason, when I was younger I despised backgrounds but recently have begun to thoroughly enjoy creating them.
