Artist's Training Grounds Alumni Group - Week 20 - A Pony solving a mystery.

Do they exist? Many people claim that they've seen them, flying through the sky, but are they simply hallucinating? Drunk? Crazy? And what of the stories of people being abducting at night, waking to find themselves back in bed, all the muffins missing from their homes... Naturally, the government denies any role in this strange phenomenon. But two agents, working deep in the basement of the Equestria Bureau of Investigation's, Fox Mule-der and Dana Filly investigate these mysterious reports.

Yeah, I stretched it a bit. The puns are pretty bad, and it's not quite on theme... but close enough! In trying to think of something for the theme, I kept thinking to X-Files, but I didn't want to draw a crossover pony version of Mulder or Scully... so what was the most iconic thing about that show? The poster. Seemed perfect. I considered blurring out Derpy a bit, but didn't have the heart, she came out looking really good.

And in a reverse of my usual style, I drew the background first, doing a little experimention. With this one, it was a bit simple, the wall, then the trees of poster, then I drew Derpy Hooves last. I think the result came out good, so I may end up doing this more, and hopefully, my backgrounds will look all the better because of it. Huzzah for blocking and layout!
