PLEASE OH PLEASE GAMEFREAK DO NOT MURDER THE DESIGN WHEN YOU SHOW US THE FRONT!!!!!!!Come on, a sarcophagus pokemon? In my opinion, that's pretty cool~~~

Maybe one of the gods much like how lucario is supose to be like that anubis guy. Maybe somthign based off there love of cats, or somthing mummified. Instead of just going for a stiff peice of rock/metal that's not fun to draw...not many poses it can do XD

I've only read a few comments here, and I'd like to say a few thingies.
First off, THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME. Desukan is [literally] the only PokΓ©mon out of Gen V That I'm excited about. D: I'm a gigantic mythology nerd, so Desukan appeals to both my adoration of Egyptian mythology, history, and PokΓ©mon in general.
As for evolutions/prevos, I'm willing to put cash on Desukan being the fully evolved form. I have reasoning behind this.
Can anyone name what is typically buried in tombs with the sarcophagus? Aside from burial tokens, gold, food, and the like...

It's basically a little container for the organs when pharaoh was laid to rest. They would contain most of his internal organs. n.n

The most logical move for GameFreak to make would be to have it's prevo come in the form of a small canopic jar, much like Desukan himself, but instead of a ton of hands coming out of the sarcophagus, it would be only one out of a crack in the lid. :3
I can't wait for Gen V to come out. Desukan is by far one of my favorite PokΓ©mon right now. I can't wait to implement it in battle. n.n
Oh, and everybody stop wishing for Ghost/Rock or Ghost/Ground. We're looking at around six weakness' with both of those. Hope for Ghost/Steel instead! D: With Ghost/Steel, we're looking at a weakness to Ground and Fire, and if it Levitates, only Fire. >:3

Though I think maybe steel is overrated, you've got a point with the weaknesses. And I think maybe Desukan doesn't have an evo or pre-evo. But I guess we'll see

Don't ruin the design by showing the front?
It's an Egyptian sarcophagus...........Yes, there are monsters that roam the wild in caskets. That makes perfect sense. Do they hatch from eggs like that too??
It's a dumb design. For every decent monster designed for Black and White, there will be three shitty ones. Desukan is amongst the shitty ones.
I can't wait to curb stomp this Pokemon with Generation 1 monsters, and you can suck on it. lol

in my opinion it looks nothing like a spiritomb evolution like some people think. 
and I don't think Spiritomb would randomly evolve into an Egyptian Pokemon when it looks nothing like an Egyptian pokemon to begin with. It could be a Pokemon SIMILAR to spiritomb, but I very highly doubt it is an evolution for spiritomb.

Though, I understand why people would think Munna is Drowzee's pre evo: It's classed as "Dream eater PokΓ©mon" (Drowzee's and Hypno's signatures) and it's snout somewhat looks like Drowzee's and Hypno's "trunks". But in the end they aren't related.

tl;dr. Nah jk I mean I'm at least 100% sure that Munna must be Drowzee's pre-evolution. Still, with GameFreak you never know which evolutions they'll come up with! I was a bit dissapointed with Tangrowth and Lickylicky, because, well... LICKYLICKY!? WTF!?
Anyways you are right that Desukan looks nothing like Spiritomb, and I'm still with my theory that Desukan's rock/ghost. I think maybe Bronzor ,Bronzong and Desukan might have some connection since the symbol in the back is similar.
But I guess in the end we'll have to see for ourselves... I'm so excited for this game! ^^

Yes! I remember having a conversation way back when with a friend of mine when they first announced the black and white versions. I was so hyped, and blurted out to her, "what if the Pokemon MOVE!?" she told me it was plausible.. but probably wasn't gonna happen, and that it would be much easier to do with 3D. She told me that there was probably going to be a 7th pokemon in your party instead of 6... I really don't think they'd ever change that. They did think about doing it in ruby and saphire, but think about it... if whatever they thought about made them throw out that idea, why would they bring it back up? anyways, this game is going to be awesome!! For the next games... I REALLY hope they remake the Hoenn region games.. those were my favorite. <3

OMG HOENN WAS MY FAVORITE TOO!!!!!! I practically grew up playing Hoenn games... Either way the probability they'll remake Hoenn is very, very high. Think about it, it's like a pattern:
I Generation: Red, Blue, and Yellow. Only Kanto here.
II Generation: Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Kanto and Johto.
III Generation: Ruby, Saphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, Emerald. They made Hoenn and a remake of the first generation.
IV Generation: Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver. They made Sinnoh and a remake of the second generation.
So now for the fifth generation, it would make a lot of sense if they made Isshu and a remake of the third generation

I cant agree more on the region thing, the first pokemon game I played was emerald, and now I've played in all 5 regions, Hoenn is still my fave XD I think the hoenn pokemon were the best looking, too.
