Why do you spray it with fixative?
I've never used charcoal, and I hope to get some soon. Sorry if my question sounds stupid, though...

The fixative prevents smudging and fading of your work. Just make sure you are finished with your piece when you spray it because if you notice a mistake after, it is there for good. It is almost completely impossible to erase something after it has been sprayed.

Alright, I'll remember that! Thanks!
Also, you sound like You've sprayed a piece of work and wanted to go back before....

I really liked this, you actually made me feel like drawing again. So, maybe I will *laugh*
I remember using charcoal in my arts and crafts class ages ago, and I loved it. Even though it might become rather messy if you are not carefull.

you should... it's a lot of fun, and its nice to see something new from people you didn't expect it from... just don't stop with your photography or i'll have to kill you...

Well, I have always taken pics, but quit drawing some years ago. My head sort of said stop, so I don't think I will reverse that in any manner, so no need for you to kill me... but I might start making some real skeches and studies again. Could be fun, you know
