Well the background freak in me is back... and guess what, this time she's really run riot ^^The unusual thing about this picture is that it was fully done on the computer, from scratch, even the characters. Usually I sketch a picture on paper first and scan it in and colour it in Photoshop. No refs used - just fresh impressions from the walk in the forest last Sunday ^^
These two are my characters, but I won't tell anything else about them

спасибо, рада, что понравилось - обычно мне легче набросать на бумажке, потом отсканить-почистить, а вот обводить и раскрашивать в фотошопе.
Но бывают и исключения, типа этой картинки, когда руки так и чешутся и на бумаге набрасывть лень.

what is the problem then? are your brushes not showing at all or is it just not the right setting?..
If the setting's the problem, I colour my pictures with a hard brush with about 20% opacity.

._. the setting is wrong. you should set the brushes options in the window 'brushes', but i don't know WHAT to change T_T can you tell me what have you set in yours? (like opacity, scattering, shape dynamics etc)

to be honest, I work with hard brushes and I only check Shape Dynamics in the Brushes window, leaving the rest unchecked. I set the opacity to 20% and adjust the brush diametre according to how big or little an object I'm colouring is.
