Nabbed the idea from Crime and Punishment in Suburbia (again).At first I thought it might be so prosaic of me to choose this title since countless other fan art have already been dubbed as such.
Then again, I think it only appropriate for any Snape artist to have at least one piece titled "Always", wouldn't you agree?
I've practically spent the entire time doing this wishing I could somehow take Lily's place even for just a few moments... yes... I need to get a life.

Awww, you're a lot more gifted than I am, you dear one! I was wondering, would you mind if I printed one of your beautiful pictures and put it on the wall in my bedroom? I love looking at them so much, the whole world disappears behind them. Though I've never been a Snape/Lily fan (I adore Lily and James together, but I know a lot of people don't), your pictures grasp them in such a wonderful way that it's unbelievable. I think everyone would have a different interpritation.
To me, I find the love hinted in the murky coloured background - it is very bright in the heart of the page. Lily is holding Severus and he is looking straight ahead - she doesn't want to let him go? She is very close to him and looks almost as if she is smelling him maybe she is committing him to memory?
That's why I think it's goodbye-ish. But lots of different things could affect how you look at it.

it could be, yes... it's just that i find severus and lily's relationship riddled with so much complications and complexities i really couldn't pin down exactly what sort of pain we're seeing here. so it's open for everyone's interpretation...
