10 years of Bionicle vibes series

I was both at the start of 2003 and 2004 afraid Bionicle was going to end since i couldn't imagine what the story could do next. I remember getting the 2004 catalogue and was just blown away. A whole new aesthetic, a new location of comprehensively much larger scale and 6 brand "new" heroes in a lean streamlined design made me feel like i had come across the most complex science fiction ever. I was reassured that Bionicle could go on forever if it wanted to.

I love the idea of Metru Nui. It has a dystopian somber vibe to it because of the story, but i also love to think about the city as a utopian metropolis, the lives of individual city matoran and the macro functionality of entire metrus. I love Metru nui so much, and I want to make much more fanart of the place. My style and techniques produce imagery that is just very opposite to city aesthetics. :/
