"It was on a dreary night of November..."

Frankenstein has always been my number 1 favourite book but now that I've been researching it for my masters dissertation, I've fallen into the pits of obsession again! I've been so busy recently, so it was great to finally get the time to draw this. I've really been itching to do Frankenstein fanart 💕⚡️💀

The inspiration for this artwork was the frontispiece for the 1831 standard novels edition of Frankenstein, drawn by Theodor von Holst and engraved by William Chevalier. I wanted to pay an ode to this iconic illustration but with my own designs! Though, I followed Holst in drawing the creation buff 🤪
