(repostin something I made a while back while I wait for photoshop in other computer to work so I can finish commishes b4 weekend.)'I drew this in mind when I read an article some weeks back (which I want to find again, but I cannot find it???) I read about one woman who took her youngest daughter to see "Princess and the Frog" . Seeing her little girl make OMG!ENCHANTED!FACE and thinking the new generation gets to have Tiana while her generation did not.
This thought made her bawww in the theater.
I also bawwww while thinking of this.
It's sad but happy at the same time.
It's kind of like when I first saw "Mulan" the first time as a little girl. I was personally moved.
...
Because all the "issues" and some flaws of this film aside, I felt the movie and Tiana were made with sincerity and love, not just something to be marketed, which is important when bringing to life a story you want to move people with.

There's something about Disney magic that never leaves you. My boyfriend and I went to Disneyland for our two year anniversary and both of us teared up during "Fantasmic." Disney still makes me feel very much like the little girl in this piece. I can't wait to for my children to watch them!

I baww'd a little, too :') Still haven't seen this movie, though I'm dying to. This picture makes me even more excited about it. The little girl's expression in the last panel is just so sweet and I adore the mother's smile. Plus that Tiana in the middle is pretty gorgeous.

The first Disney film I can remember seeing in the cinema was Pocahontas with my uncle (wait 1995? I was 3! D: Ho-monkeys, my memory is good.) and that's always stuck with me. The theatre's gone now, but when I look at what's there now, my mind can still still the movie posters.
Also, a big group of my friend went to watch PatF and we loved it.

I cried and laughed and smiled so much during this movie, and I probably made a face that looked just like that little girl's face several times! It was magical beyond words!
Unfortunately I never got to see any of the "classic" Disney movies in theaters, the ones I'm still in love with today, and seeing this movie, which reminded me so much of them, was amazing for me.
Hopefully Disney will continue to make movies like The Princess and the Frog so I can keep feeling like a free-spirited kid even when I'm getting older, because for me, that's what Disney's all about, and they've forgotten that.

when me and friend went to see this, we were the oldests ones there without kids and we were nearly in tears and going awww, the film was amazing and it was fantastic that disney has done a new 2d film and less high school musical jonhas brothers crap

That feeling never seems to go away. I saw that movie the day it came out and I sat next to a little girl with that exact expression on her face. My mother leaned over and said that was the exact look I had on my face when I was her age and I saw the Little Mermaid in the theaters. That memory and that feeling still haven't left me and I hope that so many little girls experienced that exact same magic moment with this movie as well. I cannot wait to own it. <3
Plus, being a 25 year old kid, I had to go out and add her doll to my barbie collection. The last doll that I went out and did that for was Mulan back in 1998(-ish?) Disney needs to keep up with these movies.

I was moved just seeing 2D design classic Disney again. And Tiana is the perfect addition to the official princess line. Its been so long since we saw a well made 2D Disney movie. My inner child was just squeeling with joy, just like that little girl up there that you drew XD
