Description
Okay, then. This isn't a particularly significant update in terms of raw, new content. Those of you who have followed my work over the last few years will recognize a lot of what you see. Those who saw my WIP last month will think this is basically the same. You are not wrong. This is the culmination of a ton of work. When I set out, several years ago, to create versions of the GBA Fire Emblem sprites in the style of my favorite FE, Radiant Dawn, I had no idea what it would spiral into. My workbook doc is massive now. Massive. The above image represents what I set out to do in a stripped down version.
It's true, I am missing things. Technically the Armors (the Knights of the other games) are three seperate classes based on weapon use (up until the Marshall class). Technically the Knights (the Cavaliers of the other games) are the same. In the Cavalier case, the models for each iteration are actually unique. The Lance line looks different from the Axe line which is different from the Sword line. I debated whether to put each in, but I already have the Cavalier doc on here that shows off each. In the end I opted for a more basic version of the class line that would be more familiar to a player of the other games where these (frankly unnecessary) divisions are not present.
Also, this doc does not include the one-offs (Ike, Mist, etc.), the Laguz and the Druids. I considered putting the Druids in but in the end opted out because the player can't use them.
There are actually quite a lot of little changes to these sprites that most people would not catch (but I'm that guy that never stops tinkering with things). I modified helmets, adjusted colors, etc. With the classes that don't have generic versions (i.e., the 3rd-tiers barring the Sentinel - thank you Levail, wish you were playable) I tried to give them headgear that seemed appropriate. The Tellius Recollections book actually shows off a helmet designed for the 3rd-tier Lance/Bow Cavalier - the Silver Knight. It's appropriately, gloriously, gaudy.
So here we are, folks. Yes, I put a lot of time into this, but the fact of the matter is that I started off with Nintendo's own work. There are bits of other spriters work scattered throughout as well, though in extremely small portions - most barely exist as they started out. So in a lot of ways this work is owed to many, many other people. For a site that is supposed to be about artists creating their own, unique work, I feel a little conflicted about this but I give my whole-hearted thanks to everyone who made this possible.
And finally, thank you all for the 14,000 some page-views. I never thought I'd see the day.
This is not the end. I am spriting a lot right now, but it's for a personal project. I'm still using the FE stuff as a base, but this is far, far nerdier. We'll see if I post any of it. I'm also working on the remainder of the Fates stuff. So keep your eyes peeled!

The sprites are all based off of the Nintendo series Fire Emblem, so none of them are my characters. Is this game for profit or just for your own use?

As flattering as that offer is (thank you!) I can't help. My art, unfortunately, is squeezed in to what little free time I have after work and sleep and as such can't be relied upon to meet deadlines. Frankly, I just do this for fun, trying to make a job out of it is more of a time-investment than I'm willing to make.
Thank you again, though!
