Description
People have asked me many times how I make my plushies, but I’m really bad to explain stuff in English, so now I try to show how I made some parts of my plushies through the pictures.- The first part shows 3 different ways to make the toes, fingers and paws for the plushies.
- Second part shows that if you know how the plush looks from the side, then you can make all other patterns from the side-part.
- Third part shows how the forehead-pattern can be done by using the body-pattern as a base. It works too on the creatures with horns, like dragons.
Photographs are an examples from my plushies, were I used these pattern/sewing methods.

Could you give me a bit of advice? I make my own patterns too but often when I make the muzzles they end up shorter than originally? And kinda blunt too, if that makes any sense? I'm beginning to wonder if it's because I make the forehead pattern too... wide? down the muzzle.

IsisMasshiro In reply to FanguoftheFlowers [2015-09-12 15:00:16 +0000 UTC]
It's simple. Try out to make only plushie's head with some cheaper fabric. There you would see how your patterns works up and can fix the pattern.
If you want a more narrow head, make muzzle longer and forehead thinner.

Very nice tutorial here! I have some old plushies that need toes and fingers sewn back on them (I think I used to mishandle plushies when I was kid 10+ years ago) a using the thread method at the upper left corner and wasn't sure how to get them secured as I know next to nothing regarding work with fabric. I was going to trial and error it like I do most things I am unsure about until I get a result I'm happy with, but opted not to as if I damaged a plush, I also wouldn't know how to repair it and thus I would have another problem on my hands, lol! So thanks!

This is very useful. I don't make my toes quite the same way, but it's the same method I use for head gussets!

Huuu, löysin sitte tämän taas uudestaan tänään ja aattelin pistää kokeiluun. Tekaisin jo kaavat yhteen pehmoon, mutten viitti alkaa tänään ompelemaan sitä kasaan. Huomenna sitten näkee mitä siitä tulee.
Kiitos siis tästä tutoriaalista, oli oikein mukava kattoa miten saa suht helposti tehtyä kaavat pehmoon ku pehmoon!

Jeah, huomasin heti pari virhettä kun sain pehmon kappaleet ommeltua kasaan. Pitää ottaa uusiksi jossain vaiheessa kunhan aikaa on enemmän. :3 Sillä välin voisin melkein ommella jottain pehmoja jo olemassa olevista kaavoista, kävin hankkimassa 2 metriä valkosta fleeceä tänään. x3

Voisin kans melkein tehdä yhden valkosen loharin joka on ollu tarkotus vääntää kasaan jo jonkin aikaa. :'D Taitaa tosin mennä pari viikkoa ennen kuin mulla on kunnolla aikaa ommella mitään - tupsahti ylimääräisiä hommia ja pari deadlinea tähän muutaman viikon sisään. ;_;
