Description People have asked me many times how I make my plushies, but I’m really bad to explain stuff in English, so now I try to show how I made some parts of my plushies through the pictures.

- The first part shows 3 different ways to make the toes, fingers and paws for the plushies.

- Second part shows that if you know how the plush looks from the side, then you can make all other patterns from the side-part.

- Third part shows how the forehead-pattern can be done by using the body-pattern as a base. It works too on the creatures with horns, like dragons.

Photographs are an examples from my plushies, were I used these pattern/sewing methods.

Great job is the word ^^

I have just seen the wolfpattern you helped to make, it`s great! I have a pattern like that that I created years ago for wolves (Okami and normal wolf), but not same legs. The idea of cut in two the leg (the leg and the muscle) is brilliant ^^ this and the tail... were serious failures that I did creating the pattern. I cant wait for sew other plushie with the tail and the legs corrected!
Thank you so much for share your brilliant brain!

I can't make a phushie for the life of me, but if I do ever try to practice it, this will be the first thing I would go as a guideline.

Practice sure takes time. I've practiced through my life and still practicing is going.

would you mind if i used the blue head pattern? I've been trying to make a Feraligatr for my boyfriend and since I haven't been able to find a pattern I'm going to try to make one from scratch and the shape of the blue head looks about right for me :3

What kind of stitches do you use when sewing them together. I used a back stitch but it proved not to be strong enough in my last plush and pulled apart during stuffing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

IsisMasshiro In reply to Morgue-Macabre [2012-02-09 18:44:35 +0000 UTC]

Sometimes it requires strong fabric too that it would rip apart so easily.

This looks very helpful though! Thanks for sharing!

Brachiosaurus would be really easy one XD

O'rly? Well if I had the money and you were open I'd say, 'then YOU do it'. xD
I'll have to doodle out a pattern sometime to get myself motivated.
Is it easy to sew two or more colors together or is it to complicated to do?
The brach char I have that I wanna make a plush of has like... three colors. x.x

IsisMasshiro In reply to KigerwolfRD [2012-02-17 10:15:21 +0000 UTC]

Depens. If there is a lot of curves, then the sewing would be hellish.

what a nice, all-purpose model tutorial. It's general enough to be used for almost any plushie, but specific enough to adequately explain the concepts involved. lovely dear!

I really love that you are so generous with providing tutorials, explanations, and even free patterns! I think I've mentioned it before, but it seriously deserves praise because a lot of artists can be quite stingy with their references (patterns, understandably). I really love how you explained it. It was very eye opening for me, as simple as it may have been! This is really fantastically drawn and simple too!
