stunningly beautiful!
marvelously intricate details.
perfect use of monochrome, everything is crisp and clear while maintaining great depth.
the figure's pose and expression are most fitting for an enraptured muse...

Thanks, man. I am glad to hear you liked it. And it is very nice to also hear why you liked it. Not many peope specify that. But it is interesting to hear. And much more meaningful than just saying "nice" to someone.

Wow! This is truly stunning. There are so many details that I do not feel that I am even able to take them all in.

That is the great think about it. Then, if you buy it and put it on your wall, you will not get tired of it at once

It's utterly amazing. It's so much details to look on it's like you always find new stuff the more you look at it. Even a few squarecentimeters contain a drawing of their own.
Great contrasts and such precision with details and transitions. There is much that could make you lose attention but yet there is much focus and balance in the piece, not to mention all eneryg flowing through.
Great artwork

Print!

Hehe. Detaljer finner du her: www.ithammar.com .

Something like this is what i aspire to do one day. There is no wasted space but it's all very cohesive. I wouldnt be surprised in the least if this eventually gets featured.

Work hard, and you'll do even better some day. My teacher once told me something I think might be true. It's about 2% talent and 98% hard work. My theory is that the talent is the will to do the hard work it takes.

Thank you. No, I do not work with engravings. I tried the technique once, but I didn't really like it. For some reason I feel more in control with a pen split and a glass of ink

Gixajin In reply to IT-Hammar [2009-11-10 17:12:20 +0000 UTC]

Sorry I had an ortograph mistake!
Horror vacui:
In visual art, fear of empty spaces, also known as cenophobia, is the filling of the entire surface of an artwork with detail.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

IT-Hammar In reply to Gixajin [2009-11-11 14:02:09 +0000 UTC]

Ahh, exactly. That is probably me in a nutshell when it comes to drawing. Did you check out some of the other works as well? And in case, what were your thoughts? At the moment I feel that drawing is my most important work, but as you may also see from my gallery, I want to work with painting as well. But I seem to have two different personalities: one for drawing and one for painting. I like to do something entirely different in each medium.

Gixajin In reply to IT-Hammar [2009-11-11 17:10:21 +0000 UTC]

I think your drawings are simply "top nocht". Hail to Norge, beautiful land that I had visited last summer.

Thanks, man. It is cool to hear you have been to Norway too. What did you think of our country? I am also very glad to hear you enjoyed the drawing, of course. What dd you like most about it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Gixajin In reply to IT-Hammar [2010-04-11 15:06:15 +0000 UTC]

I like mostly the intricated hard work on it.
About your land, something like perfect society maybe, I don't know, only visited Stavanger and Bergen. From monuments and landscapes we visited Kjerag, Manafossen, Fantoft stave kierke and of course, Preikestolen; Awesome lands!
