Description This is a side view of my Godzilla costume. As I mentioned, the mask is made of latex, and the bodysuit is padded underneath so it will assume a monster shape. The spines on the back are formed with vacuum-formed plastic and lit up internally with about 180 blue and white LEDs. The assembly of the LEDs and spines alone took about two months.

Yeah, I think it would have looked a lot better if I had done something to build a textured skin from latex, instead of using fabric. I ended up spending most of my time on the LED mechanism, so I didn't really have a chance to research doing a scaly bumpy skin texture.

Well maybe u can keep improving later on. I'm reading the Eiji Tsuburaya book and it talks about how they improve their own Godzilla suits. Its very rudimentary. They used like bark skin of tress to create the skin texture. Maybe u can cast some up from nature. LOL
