Personality :
Positive
Oakthicket has a slight sense of humor. She doesn’t prance around making jokes but she also doesn’t have a serious reaction to everything. She sometimes get’s in trouble for her smart remarks. She has a determined mind. She never likes to leave things unfinished or unaccomplished. That is one of the traits that let her survive after her mother’s death. She is a lively cat who loves to go out on patrols and assignments. She can’t keep her paws still until she’s satisfied with her contribution to the clan. If you need something done, go to her. She is an intelligent cat who’s mind works fast in tough and demanding situations. She always knows the best places to hunt and knows when a cat is joking or truly ruffled. She always had a nack for not fighting head on with tooth and claw in battles, but using trickery. She was an affectionate cat that liked to make sure everyone close to her was always okay. She understood kits and apprentices and always tried to make appropriate judgments. But don’t take her for a fool that won’t discipline you when needed.
Negative
Oakthicket had been known for her sharp tongue at times. She rarely did, for her kind manner was most dominant. But if she became irritated, annoyed, or angered her mouth could run and scare away all the prey from the camp to the gathering place. Her reputation isn’t as good as it could be because though she is skillful, she is also be known to be a bit dishonest. Her lies were never that big or important, but she sometimes used them to get out of duties as an apprentice. If it seems too good to be true, look into it another time. She can be stubborn at times. Most of the things that she is stubborn about are proving her claims/accusations and admitting she is wrong. If you here her admit openly that she is wrong she must be in a good mood! Sometimes she can be a bit offensive. She doesn’t realize what she is saying until it is already said. Though, whence is in a bad mood she could be pointedly offensive. She may be a but suspicious at times. If someone betrays the clan openly or knows what they are doing she may be a but cautious or leery around them. Or if a rogue waltzes in without a care and asks for absurd things or to join the clan with a smugness about him, she is going to be a bit wary at first. But then again, who wouldn’t?
Neutral
She is known for apologizing if she offends/hurts/or mistrusts someone without reason. She likes to stay in their good graces and is always willing to apologize if she messes up with trust. And if she is the one who made a wrong or not-knowingly betrayed her clan, she will apologize and do anything to earn their trust back. She is a headstrong cat. In times it comes in handy when someone discourages her or looks down upon her. But in some cases it gets her in trouble-maybe a little more than she’d like. But she isn’t just going to sit in quiet if she believes there is a better option. Another trait that equals out is her curiosity. She has to know everything. If she finds a hint of something weird it drives her crazy not to know what it is. It can be helpful in wary situations or it can make things worse- possibly injure her. One day, she is going to bring a whole new meaning to “Curiosity killed the cat,”!
Extras : (Likes , Dislikes, Facts etc. ) Her half-sister- Mothdust -dislikes her because she is half-clan. But it doesn't discourage her and she still remains nice to Mothdust and tries to get closer to her. Befriend her. She likes basking in the sun and occasionally wading into a shallow river to splash around. but her favorite thing to do is run. Not anywhere in particular- but just to run. To run to who knows where and feel the breeze ruffle her fur. Maybe even run into someone. Someone that will be a new friend till death. She had a crush on her mentor before he died. She tries not to talk about it very often but still dreams about him and sometimes goes out at night to talk to his star.
She was born in Rocklan but her mother- Russetheart -brought her to ValleyClan, where her father was, because she thought it would be better for Oakkit.
History :
Kithood: As a kit she was brought into RockClan from ValleyClan by her mother, Russetheart. Her mother was from RockClan and her father, Spottedtuft, was from ValleyClan. Her mother thought that she would be safer and better off in ValleyClan with her father so her mother planned her leave. But the night the kits came was the night of a storm. She knew it was dangerous but she exited the clan once she felt the kit kicking and waiting to get out. She gave birth to the kit under the protection and shelter of the roots of an oak tree. Thus she named the she-kit Oakkit. The mother, weak and frail, trekked through the rugged landscape of RockClan territory to the unshielded plains of ValleyClan. The camp came into sight and she forced herself to get Oakkit to safety and to warmth. To get her dry and let her feed off the warm milk that weighed down her belly. She called out, faint as it was carried away with the wind. But the cat’s still heard. A patrol came to the noise with caution and decided to let them shelter through the storm and be treated by the medicine cat. She and her mother survived and she lived the normal life of a kit. She was nice- a little naughty though -and tried to befriend everyone in the clan. Some didn’t like her though, for she was half-clan. Her father was exiled for his misdoings, seeing that he already had a record for bad behavior. That was his last straw.
Apprentice: She lived a mostly ordinary life as an apprentice. Early in her apprenticeship, her mother died. Her mother was out hunting and she chased a rabbit to the edge of a fast flowing river that ran through the territory. Her paws slipped on mud from a recent rain and she fell in, drowning. Her body was found lodged between the shore and a rock the next day. She found most of her comfort in Gingerfrost, her mentor, who she had built up a close relationship with. She got a sever wound during her last assessment that was to decide if she was to become a warrior or not. She had to stay in the medicine cat den for half a moon. She ended up staying an apprentice for an extra two moons because of the slow healing process. On the day of her ceremony she ended up disappearing a little before because she was sad that there was going to be no one of her parents there to be proud of her.
Warrior: As a warrior, she was close to Gingerfrost. They hunted, patrolled, and talked together for most of their days. Untill, one tragic day, Gingerfrost was killed by a traveling aggressive rogue. She was devastated and absent minded during patrols. She would miss prey, not scent other cats soon enough, or forget things. She went to his burial place every night before she went to bed. On an ordinary night, he visited her in her dreams. He said that he didn’t want her to live life half-alert. That he wanted her to be happy and not to grieve for him. After that night, she was more focused. More open and caring. More at peace with herself and life.
Roleplay examples :
The Bringing:
Teeth firmly but gently gripped her scruff. Her body hang limp as the stormy night surrounded her. The thunder boomed in her ears, making them ring until they hurt. The lightning lit up the sky in jagged gashes through the pelt of the night. She couldn’t see which made the fear factor stronger. Not knowing where she was going or how she got here, she shivered in her rain soaked fur, cold, wet drops running down her spine. She let out faint, weak, tiny mewls of hunger and fear. “It’s okay Oakkit, we are almost there,” said the mother gripping the kit’s scruff, trying to calm her down. But to no avail. The kit thrashed and churned her paws, looking for something to hold on to. She remembered being set down and hearing cats talking, her mother begging for help. She couldn’t understand what they were saying, but squirmed towards he mother, hoping for the comfort of milk. She smelled the sweet scent but, to her dismay, felt teeth grasp her scruff again. She was carried off and the last thing she remembered was her mother’s milk wrapped in overwhelming unfamiliar cat scent.
The Apprenticeship:
She trotted back into camp, mentor in tow, and spotted her half-sister near the entrance of the camp. She ran up to her. “Look at this mouse I caught! Isn’t it big?” she mumbled around her catch. Mothdust gave a partially disgusted look at the mouse-or maybe her. “I’ve seen better,” she grumbled before turning away, obviously annoyed. It wouldn’t have really bothered her until she realized that her mother would never get to see her and be proud of her accomplishments.
Oakpaw’s shoulders slumped and her tail drooped. She turned away and was about to squeeze through the camp entrance when she felt a tail on her shoulder. She stopped and turned around to see her mentor standing behind her. “It was a great catch,” he reassured. “And I’m sure the elders will love a plump mouse for a meal.”
“Thanks Gingerfrost!” she mewed happily. She turned to enter the camp with a bounce in her step and a purr in her throat. A New Warrior: Oakthicket was made warrior just a moon ago and she still remembered the excitement she had felt on her ceremony. She padded alongside her former mentor- Gingerfrost -pelts barely brushing, in a hunting patrol. The other were somewhere else as they had decided it was best to split up. “Think this former apprentice can still catch better prey than you,” she teased. “Let’s see if you still got it,” he said back before bounding off with thundering paws. She took off after him and fell in beside him. “Your gonna scare away all the prey with that noise!” she hissed playfully in his ear before slowing down a bit. Once he realized she had stopped he skidded to a halt and turned around. “Can’t catch up!” he yowled to her. She was about to make a sly retort when a flash of black fur swished in some bushes behind him. “Behind you!” she yowled, but her warning came to late. Ginger frost was bowled over and her paws flew across the ground. In a split second she was digging her claws into the rogue’s back and yanking him off. She gave a sharp bite to the shoulder and the black figure screeched with pain. He tried to shrug her off but fury made her hold on. She churned her back paws across his spine and leaped out of the way. “Leave!” she hissed at the unfamiliar cat. She sprang and it raced away, leaving blood on dripping from it’s back in it’s wake. She turned around and bounded to Gingerfrost’s side. He lay still on the ground, his breathing coming in fast, shallow intakes of air.
“What’s wrong?” she exclaimed, worry and anxiety shaking her mew. Then she saw it. Blood pooled out of a bite in the neck. She panicked. “Help! Anybody!” she yowled while tearing out grass and trying to stop the bleeding. She held pawfuls of the green stalks to his throat but it wouldn’t stop gushing blood.
“It’s okay,” he whispered, his voice a faint rasp. “I’ll be fine,” he meowed. “No you won’t be! You bleeding a lot and-don’t go!” she wailed, seeing his eyes dull. “Just know,” he choked out, coughing up blood. “I could have never wanted a better apprentice-or friend,” he gargled.
“No. Please don’t go,” she whispered, nuzzling her muzzle into his. She held it there burying her worries in his fur. “I-“ he was cut short with another coughing fit. “I’ll miss you,” he managed to get out. He pressed her muzzle deeper into the fur on his face. “I’ll miss you, too,” she whimpered, her vision becoming foggy as her eyes watered before she closed them to the sting of tears. She Lifted her head a little bit to look into his eyes. He gave one final breath and then his body sagged and went limp. His eyes dulled and she pressed her muzzle into his shoulder fur whispering, “Don’t go,” over and over again before she took her head out of his fur and lifted it to the sky. She screamed. And screamed. And screamed. She screamed till her lungs gasped for air, till her throat hurt, till she was dragged away from his body by fellow clanmates who heard the noise. She writhed, trying to get out of their strong but gentle hold on her scruff. She thrashed, each twitch and movement becoming more and more effortless until she let them drag her away. She turned her head and saw his body lying there in blood stained grass.
She stared until a hill blocked her view and she lay limp between clanmates as they carried her home, quiet as a kit, and lay her down in her soft nest. The absence of her dead clanmate felt like ice in her heart and she slipped into a restless, broken sleep- full of nightmares of their time together dissipating and crumbling, the cold nest next to her still smelling faintly of Gingerfrost. Gingerfrost.

Yee still working on it. I just noticed there was only a day left until they close. If I sent it in tonight, would they not accept it? I noticed they mentioned it can take up to three days to look over applications...
