Description I decided to try my hand in making tutorials! This is my first one and it's about creating and cutting out PNGs. If you guys have any questions, please let me know and I will try my best to help you. Also, if you have any other tutorial suggestions feel free to send them my way and maybe I'll make it. And as always, faving and commenting is always appreciated! Oh, and feel free to show me how your cut outs turned out.

Model stock from- Here

EDIT: I never expected such a positive response for this tutorial, I'm so glad you guys like it! It's been getting A LOT of faves and I just want to say thank you to everyone! I normally thank all of my favoriters individually on their profiles, but since I've been getting so many at once, I don't have time to sift through them all (so far I have 170+ messages on here... ). Anyway, thank you all again so SO much!

I like the technique but I think I'd rather just use the lasso tool or go into quick mask. If you have CS5 there is a magnetic lasso tool that is actually quite smart. It can get around hair really nicely without much struggle.

I will remember this technique, maybe use it elsewhere.

The Lasso Tool is also a good method, thank you for mentioning it. In my opinion, however, I think it's much harder to handle (especially if you don't have steady mouse control like me lol).

Consider the polygon lasso than, it's a click by click selection and if you mess up you can just use the delete/backspace key to take back vertices. My friend actually prefers the pen tool to make masks and cuts. You don't need a steady mouse hand to use either of those tools. You should give it a try.

Cool, but very slow ! With "Topaz Remask" Plug-in, you can do this more faster ^^

That'd be good, but this is a free method, while the plug-in needs to be bought. So to say if someone else reads and gets all frenzy about your suggestion.
