I never understood why there are so many drawings of bare-chested men... without nipples.

Where did they go?! D:

Thanks a lot! Though I generally avoid drawing naked people due to my lack of practice with muscles and how pieces join together, this made me figure out how to properly draw a shoulder. Fucking shoulders.

This is actually really nice! Short and simple and to the point <3! Out of curiosity, is there much of a difference when you draw children's bodies? I think they'd be less defined (As in v-/ hourglass shape, since that definition doesn't start until later years.)

MarikBentusi In reply to ChernoblyGypsy [2012-01-14 19:13:54 +0000 UTC]

Not OP here, but I guess that's what generally applies, until they hit puberty there isn't much of a body difference between boys and girls. They generally tend to have more fat tissue tho, the younger the more.

And facial proportions are of course different, bigger eyes and such.

Oh, alright. Thanks! I haven't the slightest clue how to draw, let alone proportions u_u;

That's been bugging me for some time! I mean, I draw robot characters, but the two designed to look human have been too similar for my taste for a while now. Thanks!

This is a very helpful tutorial along with great drawings!
I have always had trouble drawing male bodys. Didn't know they carry their balance in their shoulders!
Another thing to remember: ear lobes always line up with a person's nipples.
Sounds funny, but it is true.

Wow I love this tutorial because for some reason the 'Skeleton' method never worked for me and I thought I was the only one. It helps you see the shapes of the body better than with just the skeleton figure. Thank you for posting this.

You know; i knew men were more V shaped, but for sme reason. I've never drawn them as such; and always wondered why the males i drew looked so weird. .___.
