Has anyone ever seen this assumption and ''logic''? I have. Plenty of times. Some people propose that if you like the color pink, you'd be a girly girl. If you just so happen to dislike it, you'd fall underneath the tomboy label. (You'd also get praised nowadays for it too.)

Whelp, sorry to say but a woman or girl doesn't have to dislike or hate the color pink to be a tomboy. The same thing goes for girly girls. Simply because you 'like' the color pink doesn't mean you are a girly girl, or isn't a tomboy. Do us a solid and do not listen to this stereotype. Yes, sometimes or on average you'd find a tomboy disliking or not being too fond of the color pink and a girly girl female liking the color pink. However that isn't the definition or what makes them, or you, a tomboy. Probably a common aspect yes; but not quite. So if you just so happen to like the color pink yet rather do boyish mannerisms/has the lack of interests in doing things that usually girly girls do, don't worry. You still can fall underneath this category.

For the people who like bragging that they are tomboys and 'despise' the color pink therefore they ARE tomboys... (As if disliking a shade of red makes you cool or a tomboy all of a sudden.)

No. Disliking a color doesn't make you a tomboy. It makes you, surprise, human.

A tomboy, by the true definition... "a girl who behaves in a manner usually considered boyish."

What's more ironic is that pink didn't originally or firstly mean feminine or represent females. Quite on the contrary.

Also P.S, being a tomboy doesn't mean you're better than other girls who aren't and vice versa.
