I got the idea to draw something with shadows something like in that part you skipped over, saying there's no way to figure it out within reason. At first, I wasn't sure how to do it, but I think it'll be similar to a technique used in this tutorial [link] (the one with x's, because that's so useful for perspective. I've missed out on it for so long. D: )
I'm thinking the light source will create a vanishing point in the distance, near the top of the shadow (based on some pictures I found online). But, I'm still doing some research.
