I REALLY, really enjoyed working on this one!

It was incredibly fun to experiment with how I portrayed the Summer Palace - I'd always imagined it as very natural looking, like those stalagmites/stalactites you see in caves that have been so eroded that they almost look melted. I was also inspired by the look of very old, eroded reef rock; it gets this lovely honeycomb-esque pattern, and you can see it on the throne Orca's sitting on.

The floor in front of her is completely tiled, however, since the top half of the image is VERY busy, I thought it'd balance it out a bit by only drawing a few clusters of tiles. This is definitely a piece I would like to revisit once I get a new tablet, and give it some colour.
