Well, I've probably said this multiple times before, but I've lost interest in Wings of Fire a while ago. That means that I'm not going to finish the Lost Continent concept art series that I started a year ago - so I'm posting the WIP designs that I did for Cricket, Sundew, and the Temple of Clearsight just to get them out there.

This was probably the most interesting of the ones I ended up doing! Designing a building is a lot different from drawing characters, but I ended up creating something that I would want to visit. (It looks very relaxing! if only it wasn't used for so creepy a purpose in the books.) I did this for a commission to do a scene set in the Temple (which I haven't posted as the commissioner is doing the colouring for it, actually) and I wanted to make sure my design a) was something they liked and b) matched the description in the book.

So I sifted through the chapters set in this and grabbed all the relevant quotes - I might have missed something (or maybe something else was added in Hive Queen or Poison Jungle, which I haven't read) but I think I did a pretty decent job of matching it. I also created a very rough 3d model of it for my own use, as I was struggling a little with the perspective - I lost that file, otherwise I'd share it.
