As Andy walked away with Jordan. Mason remembered the first time they met in Kindergarten. Mason was a shy kid. Mason came into Kindergarten as a late student. The teacher, Mrs. Frey got the kids attention. "Class.....Classs....shhhhh class settle down. Class we have a new student joining us today. Everyone.....please meet Mason Smith." Mrs. Frey said. All the kids turned and looked. Mason was shy and a little scared. "now Mason, why don't you pick a seat. Anywhere you like." Mrs. Frey said. Mason looked around. He was about to sit near the back of the classroom when he noticed a kid sitting there. The kid had a blue Volkswagen bug lunchbox. Mason walked over and sat next to that kid. Mason was a little scared and shy. Andy turned and looked at Mason. "hi, my name is Andrew. But you can call me Andy." the kid said. Mason smiled. "Hi, I'm Mason." Mason said. Andy smiled back. "here.....you can have half my Oreo." Andy said.

Fast Forward to the present.

Mason Smith was standing there in the hallway looking at Andy and Jordan. Now Mason knew that Jordan was not "like that" as Mason's mother would say with Andy. To be honest, Mason didn't know if Andy was "like that" either. But he knew that since probably about freshman year, he had a crush on Andy, but he was too shy and too scared to say anything. Mason's thoughts were broken by the school bell ringing. Mason closed his locker and walked off.

Andy and Jordan walked outside. "alright Swin, I'll catch ya tomorrow." Jordan said. Andy nodded. Jordan got into his car and left. Andy walked over to his parents SUV and got in. As Andy started the vehicle, his Cybernetic hearing picked up a noise. "hey, hey Andy." a voice said. Andy turned and saw Mason. "uhhhh.....hey Smitty What's up?" Andy said. Mason smiled. "nothin. Hey.....uhhhh listen. Are you going to Prom?" Mason said. Andy nodded. "yeah Smitty, I'm going. Jordan got a date and he's making me get one. "Oh.....Oh ok. I was just wondering if you were going." Mason said. He could feel his cheeks getting warm as he was embarrassed. "hey Smitty, are you ok? You look a little red." Andy said. Mason shook his head. "no, no I'm cool." Mason said.

"hey listen Andy. Uhhhh.........do you uhhhh.........do you have a date yet?" Mason said. Andy shook his head. "no Smitty, I don't. Jordan said I should get one. But I don't know who would go with me." Andy said. Mason was stuck for words. "uhhhh......Andy. Listen. Uhhhh....would you ummmmm.....would you like to uhhhhh.......go to prom with me." Mason said.

Andy looked at Mason. Andy was shocked. He didn't know how to respond. "uhhh Smitty. I didn't know that you......I mean I didn't know that you were uhhhhh......into guys." Andy said. Mason smiled. "Oh...Oh now I'm not, I just figured that if you didn't have a date for prom, we could just hang out there together. Besides, the girls do it. Listen.....I know that I'm not as cool as Jordan, or even yourself. But......We've know each other since Kindergarten. What better person to hang out with than someone you've know that long." Mason said, hiding his true feelings for Andy. "Smitty, I uhhhhh....I don't know what to say." Andy said. Mason's face was turning red again. "Look I'm sorry Andy, I should've never brought it up. I'll see ya Monday." Mason said. Mason turned and started to walk away. Andy was in shock. "Smitty, Smitty Wait." Andy said. But Mason kept walking away.

Andy sat there in the SUV for a moment. Mason's question was burning into his brain. Andy started the SUV and left school. Mason Smith walked over to his car. "stupid......stupid stupid. Why did you ask him? You blew it. Why can't you just keep your mouth closed." Mason said to himself. Mason got into his car and left.

NOTES: Finally a look at what Andy looks like from behind. I wasn't sure I would go with this image as his back shows TOO much machine parts. Leaving not much room for his human body under there. Yes, he has a behind it's just.....oh never mind.
Anyway, Like I said in the previous chapter I was unsure as to whether I wanted to take Andy down this road. He's been through a lot as a character. But in striving to make him more relatable, this was a good story to tell. Like I've said before, each of my characters has a bit of me in them. This is SORT OF a personal story for me.

I know he's not really in this particular chapter. I wanted to go with a story from someone eles' point of view of Andy.

Again, I hope I haven't ruined anyones love for Andy, and Hope you all still follow this and where the particular story may take him.
P.S.: Should I do a short story on Mason? Maybe a little background into him? I put Manson here because I'm not totally sure if I like this particular image of him. But at least people can get an idea of what Mason looks like.
