Prom Night:
"MOM where's my bow tie." Andy said. Sarah came walking into Andy's room. "sweetheart calm down. you not wearing one remember." Sarah said. Andy sighed" Oh yeah." he said. Sarah was straightening the carbon fiber coverings on Andy's chest. "there......perfect." Sarah said. Andy smiled."Mom, What if I mess up.....or forget to dance with Becky." Andy said.

Sarah chuckled. Evan walked into Andy's room. "Andy calm down. Just have fun I'm willing to be you won't forget to dance with Becky, OR Mess anything up. Just be you.....alright don't be EXACTLY you. I don't need a phone call that you busted tables, or doors and tore up the building while dancing." Evan said laughing. Andy chuckled. "I'll try not too Dad" Andy said. Sarah shook her head and Evan walked over. "You look fine....stop worrying." Evan said as Andy kept fidgeting with his cybernetic coverings.

They walked down stairs and into the living room. Sarah had 3 boxes on the living room mantle. "Here, these are the corsages. One for you, one for Becky and One for Mason." Sarah said. "Uhhh.....Mom? How am I supposed to wear it. I'm not wearing a jacket to pin it on." Andy said worryingly. Sarah shook her head. "Sometimes....you are your father's son ya know that." Sarah said. "What's that supposed to mean?" Evan asked.

Sarah ignored Evan and opened the one of the corsage boxes. "I spoke to Kemp for that reason. He had these made up. They are not really flowers. They are made of the same material your coverings are made of, and have little magnets on the back. Here.....I'll show you." Sarah said as she removed on them. She took the two magnets off and stood on her toes to reach Andy better. She placed one behind the left chest covering on Andy. The other Magnet stayed glued to the corsage. "CLICK" the magnet made as it stayed put on Andy's chest. "See.....easy. And you can just remove it after prom and stick it back in the box. Andy smiled. "thanks Mom." Andy said. Sarah nodded. Evan looked at his watch. "son, Becky's parents just called. There are on their way. Jordan and Kristy should be here soon with the Limo. That just leaves Mason." Evan said. Andy nodded.

Sarah and Evan sat on the couch. Andy stood there. Evan could see the Cybernetic twitching in his hand. "Andy, calm down. Everything is going to be ok." Evan said. "It's not that Dad. I got an E-Mail from MIT today......I uhhh..." Andy said. Evan and Sarah looked at each other. Andy continued. "they accepted me. Full scholarship. For the spring semester." Andy said. Sarah stood up. "sweetheart.....that's wonderful. MIT....You'll be our little....well not so little anymore genius." Sarah said hugging Andy. Evan stood up. "Son, MIT that's amazing. But....spring semester is only a few months away. Have you told Mason yet?" Evan said. Andy shook his head. "No, but the good news is he's going to Harvard. Which not far from MIT." Andy told them. Sarah and Evan smiled.

Evan looked at his watch. "ok Son, Becky's parents just pulled in. And Jordan and Kristy just pulled up in the Limo." Evan said. Andy nodded. They heard a knock at the rear sliding glass door. "Who the......" Evan said. He turned as walked towards the back of the house. He was suprised to see Mason standing there. "Mason?" Evan said. Mason waved. "Hi Mr. Swinburne. May I come in. Andy invited me over early so we could take photos together. But I was running late" Mason said. Evan smiled. "of course, come on in. But I want to talk to you first. Just you and me." Evan said.

NOTES: Not much to add to this. It speaks for itself. As Andy prepares to his prom night. But the revelation of him attending MIT was something added last minute. The next few chapters may run a bit long. Just to give my readers a heads up. At the same time, I'm trying to get the Robbie story off to a good start. Which this story will dove tail with after Prom.
