Like this more than experiment N0.:1
For it seems to be done on colored (tone) paper that gives the picture a fond that creates mood and the possibility to work out the highlights in white. I like the colors! I think you do not have to fulfill the whole paper in this techniques let things disappear that you do not need. I like the composition of the body and the little lamp at the head. A little less of the front and background would lead the view more up on the body.

wow, you noticed i used a colored paper
i was thinking the same thing, not to bother too much on the background, i wanted only the subject to be the main focal point/attention here... but, too late now
glad you like, thank you

I'm very bad in comments some times, today there are 246 deviations in my file so I can react on a few but not on all.
You should try to work out of your mind to use more your imagination to create. Perfection in reproducing is not all in art.
You should allow you more freedom!

Make a few lines with closed eyes and add some more with the eyes open. Do that several times that will force you to use your fantasy.

sorry, i didn't mean to hurt/offend you by saying "weird" (actually that's a wrong word to use, my mistake
just that i'm not use to make unrealistic art, i found them not my style, at least not at the moment

Art isn't realistic at all not even photography. Reality seems to be something we have common, but every one has his own. To simulate a reality means to create an illusion, to create an illusion means to me to enlarge reality.
What is the code for that crazy icon with the hammer?

true, but remember, some great artist, like Picasso, started doing the realistic style before moving to his most common/popular ones... which for me i found them easy to make (that any child can do as well).
i've some ideas in my head, but just difficult to start them without any reference
the icon for the "hitting head" is the "stupidme"

Those realistic works you find at the beginning and in the youth of most artists, for me it has the character of exercise, like those few works of Picasso made in the time about the twenties. Photography was even a few years alive and painting was discovering and creating new styles. Picasso was one of the main heads developing the abstraction. cubism and expressionism he also was involved in creating surrealism also he can be named as the father of the young and wilds. So he is one of the fathers of modern art at all. That was the time when art was moving from mapping reproduction and illustration (photography took that field over) to creation, doing things without reference. That gave art a new aspect!

okay... maybe for you and some people i know here prefers those king of art syle (that's why you never any of mine
but that's you, your choice and your preference...
but for me, i like all kinds, no matter what style the art is i'll buy it, fav it, but it depends of course of how the art looks like. It has to fit into my imagination, where i'm going to use or put it, etc... (i'm not a picky person)

Came out very well. As the artist you can include or exclude as much or as little as you like. Ever hear of Betty Edwards? She has a couple of books you might enjoy.

National Geographic is great. Betty Edward's is a doctor or art and the psychology of visual perception. It would be condusive to what your doing already. I would recomend pretty much anything shes ever written.
