But that's not all! There is another part to the previous idea. So where that last one was an aim at a "rise" theme, this one is more of a "fall" theme. So Akuma no Riddle, there were those assassins going after one target, that's target's name is Ichinose Haru. She's a very kind girl who wants to make friends with everyone that she can, but possibly may have secrets to hide, secrets which may be the reason why these assassins are coming after her. Not too much is known about her, aside from the fact that she's become well aware of her situation and is trying to do all she can to survive through it.
My approach to the two ideas were a sort of state of mind approach. Azuma Tokaku is keeping her head cool and trying to take control of the situation when she can while protecting Ichinose Haru. With Ichinose Haru, I went about it in that she's trying to keep herself together, but she's had a history of bad things happening to her, and may be seeing things falling down in front of her, and she is part of that fall. I may be likely stretching here, but it as an idea I found a little neat and wanted to try my hand at, create something with a different approach in mind.
I'm pretty happy with how both pieces came out. At one point, I had this even earlier approach where these two pieces were on one canvas, and tried to make something movie poster-esque. That looked better in mind than it did on a canvas, so they got split up. I may have gotten too daring at that point, haha. But that's one way you can learn. The learning continues onward!
