Capcom is pretty infamous for letting some of its most iconic characters drop into the abyss... nowhere is this more true than the Resident Evil franchise, where even legendary characters such as Barry Burton haven’t even been mentioned (plot wise) since the end of the 90’s, only ever being dredged up for mini games.
But it’s nice to see that an old face managed to climb out of the void and into the light of Resident Evil 6.

Also should include UBCS Member Arnold the Sniper from Outbreak File #2 it'd be funny to make a part 5 where Barry and Rebecca plan a way to climb out of there and get everyone else out with a rope (Which Barry is warned not to drop again) and then throw Chris Redfield down in there for leaving everyone else there

I personally don't consider Ada to be one of the characters that got stuck in the giant plot hole, but meh, that's just me.

She's been in and out a few times. Resident Evil 2 came out in 1998... we didn't see hide nor hair of Ada till Resident Evil 4 which came out 7 years after her first appearance. She then spent a further 7 years in the hole when Capcom abandoned the plot threads left Resident Evil 4 (Ada working for Wesker while he rebuilds Umbrella etc) and took a load of steroids and produced the derp-fest that was RE5... Ada not being dragged out till 2012 for the equally derp-tastic Resident Evil 6. I'd say turning up and then disappearing for 7 years at a time constitutes falling into a plot hole.

When you compare her to most of the other characters that disappeared into the abyss and never returned, Ada got a pretty good break. By your explanation the only thing keeping Leon from being considered for the hole is the fact that he was in Degeneration. He left the scene for 7 years after his first game too and didn't canonly appear again until 4. Then 7 years later he appears with Ada again in Damnation and 6. Chris disappeared after Code V for a while too.

Hence the joke about her managing to escape now and then.
Leon was mentioned in Code Veronica and his character hasn't vanished form the plot.(note his name drop in RE: Survivor) Characters like Chris, Jill and Leon etc... we know what these chaps are doing or what their projected objectives are (stopping umbrella)they haven't stopped existing in the plot, we have a rough idea of what their doing.
But characters like Barry, Rebbecca and Ada just dropped off the face of the earth with only a few of them getting a vague epilogue.
People go into the plot whole when Capcom either forgets about them or pussies out and leaves their plot threads half done e.g. Ada and Weskers tryst was dumped in favor the mess that was RE:5's 'plot'.

But other lost characters had mentions in the past as well. But meh, I understand we have some different views regarding some of the roles and plots. Regardless I still like this comic. ^_^

Oh, I see. I kinda overlooked that part, my bad.
Btw, I agree with you about RE5. There are some cools parts about it but it was my least favorite continuation game of the series. The story in 5 was pretty wtf.

Sherry has the ability to regenerate..she's practically a highlander at this point in the plot.
It will literally take a big jumping the shark moment for her to get killed. Not to mention her body guard is the flesh and blood of the world's most powerful man. Who's essentially just as bad ass as his Dad.
I'm glad she's in RE 6 but really the only reason people like her is because of her relationship with Jake, pretty glad to see how two people can come to like each other in a realistic way, and that coming from a resident evil game it's pretty darn impressive.
