everyone's favorite zone.Please give credit to me if any sprites from this deviation (Besides Sonic, the HUD, and the rings) are used in anything.

It only makes me wonder how it will sound, what things would be changed and how act 2 would be like, I'm sure they would make it slightly easier than the original Labyrinth Zone... act 2 might be a actual Labyrinth.Β

Why did they not use these graphics for the Labyrinth Zone Mania mod?

Probably because the background is mostly obscured. But I do actually have the seperate versions of the background sprites, if someone ever approached me, wanting to use my sprites for a mod. But another reason is probably because these aren't every sprite in Labyrinth Zone, there's no conveyor belts and vines to use in this mock-up.
