If anyone is using manga studio 5 you can use glow dodge instead of overexposed color, it's pretty much the same thing.

Huh, love the tutorial... but I have an issue. I'm using Photoshop Elements 8, but I can't seem to find a setting anywhere that would 'overexpose color'?

I use Photoshop Elements 7, and i was also thinking about following this tutorial when i saw your comment.
Just found this:Β www.photokaboom.com/photographβ¦
maybe if we follow the underexposed steps that we will get the right results

I love this! This is great! Just a little comment, aren't the flames supposed to go up all the way? Not sideways? Other than that, this helped me a LOT. Thanks!

If you look at a really raging fire, the flames do flare out a bit.

Thank you, this will be helpful. Now only to get the lightning right and I'll paint flames all the day and night.
I actually should do that to learn to get the lightning right. Never mind.

it's not "how to draw fire" its not "how to paint fire" it's how to use photoshop tool to create half-assed fire.
