Description
I wanted to do a redesign of the mermaid drawing for the 5E Monster Manual. Because, while I liked the color scheme, I felt that the design looked rather alien and asymmetrical and just didn't really recall the classical image of traditional mermaids. I wanted her to look both nuanced but still recognizable as a mermaid. So I gave her what has basically become my sort of signature style design of mermaid/merman bodies, while giving it a few tweaks so that it'll share some semblance to the original design. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to give her the clothes that the original 5E mermaid had, due to how drawing clothes tends to be a bit of an obstacle for me at times......
