Nice finely a quick tut with a great outcome … but …I’m stuck lol

1. problem is when I have to Extrude, my sword is just lines, and it stays that way.
2. UVW mapping don’t pop up with the window where I have to select sub-object

Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong?
Yes im a noob a 3DS

I can post pic. if you want

Check to make sure you don't have multiple vertices on your spline overlapping each other. And then make sure the spline is closed.

I have a few question tho...

1. When I have put the background there, how can I change it so I can zoom in closer to it? It's hard to work with a guide which does is not possible to zoom into.

2. When I'm done, how to I take away the bg?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jalarin In reply to Scrumz [2008-01-19 10:36:13 +0000 UTC]

well for the zoom, if u used the option i used in the guide when u import the image into the background, u can simply zoom in and out with the mouse scroll (this is relative at the option "lock zoom/pan).

For the second one, what do u mean with bg?

Scrumz In reply to jalarin [2008-01-19 11:55:10 +0000 UTC]

1. Thanks alot Forgot the lock zooom/pan

2. BG = Background

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jalarin In reply to Scrumz [2008-01-19 14:06:10 +0000 UTC]

to eliminate it, just deactivate the option "display background" and u wont see it anymore

that's odd i guarantee i made it all by myself...

jalarin In reply to jalarin [2008-01-04 14:02:17 +0000 UTC]

i saw it just now... it's quite different from mine, 'couse mine is a "speed" one, usefull if u ant a low poly sword, for example to put in in games like oblivion (and actually i made a lot of weapons for oblivion ), and the tutorial u've linked it it's for a high poly sword, to add in a next gen game, with better definition, 'couse games like oblivion don't have a high res poly weapons, sadly

Satirical-Kicks In reply to jalarin [2008-01-04 14:08:35 +0000 UTC]

ah ok, I was just thinking ^^
Its a nice tut by the way much easier to follow than the other.
I'll try it out some time

ty... i made it as easy as i could, it should take 10 min to make the sword, instead of almost an hour
