Description
2nd Imaginary Scene from the story ofStarting to work on sub-races within the animal humanoid nation now. Also took suggestion for helmet and designed a new model that consists of various pieces connecting together, this way different users can choose parts that suit their facial structure.
At this point there are about 5 of them:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Will be shown in future works]
Royal Class - Tigers & Lions, etc
Ruler class for their primal strength, wisdom, pride and honor, as they were top of food chain. Strong ruling enables union of sub-tribes in nation but begins to fade in recent years. Leadership has changed many times in history and currently the White Tigers are in charge with its strong ancestral blood and backing from Royal Guards class.
Royal Guards - Panthers & Leopards, etc
Most elite fighters as most heroes in history comes from this class. Cool, calm, swift and deadly is their nature, while the sharp sense of survival allowed them to preserve strength throughout countless conflicts in politics and war. Influence is growing fast nowadays while actual tribe power has already surpassed the Royal Class - thus loyalty becomes a question.
Warrior Class - Wolves, Coyotes, Dogs, etc
Bloodthirsty, brutal, merciless and extremely loyal β they are shunned by most of the society but ironically entrusted as roles of protectors and fighters. Practices sacrifices and cannibalism [on both friends or foes] to boost morale in combat. They are also very adaptive and are the only class that uses equipments and weapons from human and animal sides.
Working Class - Cows, Horses, Elephants, etc
Bone of the animal nation that supports industry and agriculture with their hard blood sweat. Obedient but fierce in combat, they are deployed to field in recent decades to bolster ranks. Simple, hard-willed and stubborn, they are unable to perform complex orders or tactical roles whether in war or academic.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Slave Class - Rabbits, Rate, Guinea Pigs, etc
Racial Trait - Fast Reproduction
Role - Scout, Light Trooper
Background
The Slave Class has always suffered inhumane and tragic fate throughout all time for their own nature of being bottom of food chain. Naturally with their amazing reproduction ability it would be technically logical for the race to have high death rate in order to prevent the entire living space being overrun by them - and this cold rule of nature was accepted by all as a norm in old times.
As animal civilization advances however, debate of "human rights" for the slave class begins to rise. An average member would have life expectancy of 35 and lives in a tragic, abused state as the society refuses to provide any support other than minimum living needs. Looked down by all classes and being treated as expendable objects in the field -- Should the Slave Class deserve same rights and respect as other average humanoids, despite that may lead to overpopulation and perhaps extinction for all humanoids?
History & Social Role
Known as a cowardly race despite their sharp senses and wits, they were in one-time subjects to "man hunting" and "man farming" [being hunted or farmed for their meat] by carnivore races. When facing threats, they run or surrender without question or resistance. Later on after the first social reform [see note 01] they were released from this fate but found themselves be no better than before, forced to become slaves, performing high risk or low level works that no other sub races would do - until the war began.
Suffering great losses of warriors in the field, the society soon turned to the slave class, pushing the peaceful race into war, as their high reproduction ability seems to find its best place of use. Training these creatures to battle is however always a troublesome work since their body and mentality are ill suited for it. Methods from extreme harsh training, hard laws / monitoring, threats and even use of *combat drugs [see note 02] are all heavily applied to keep them in line.
Interestingly though, although the war causes them to suffer perhaps the cruelest fate in history, they also find themselves slowly gaining power and status in the society for their contribution that weighs heavier for the nation as the time goes. [More soldiers of other sub-races die -> Slave Class fills in -> More Slave Class in military ranks and making more war efforts -> Social importance goes up.]
Note 01: First Social Reform
A major movement that involved re-defining the social classes [their meanings and roles] of all members of the society. This was considered a necessary step for the nation to move into the next, more civilized and technological age.
Although there were numerous factors for it to happen, one of the central figures of the movement was actually a member of Slave Class who, unlike his kinds, refused to submit himself to his race's fate and stood up to challenge the society, with not force, but with pen and words. His fight continued for over 10 years while his writings became increasing influential at the time as various social members from other sub-races also believed the society as its current form as reached its end and must change in order to move on.
About 15 years after his missing [some assumed assassination] the First Social Reform movement began and ended in 20 years later. The man however, became a figure and symbol for Slave Class members, for his actions have planted racial awareness and thoughts peopleβs rights in their minds.
Note 02: Debate of Combat Drugs and Slave Class
In simple words, combat drug stimulates and invokes brutality and combat wills of its users while enhances reflex and strength as well. Side effects however may result in permanent brain and muscle damage, causing cripple, shortened life, or even death, thus only mostly used on Slave Class soldiers. Animal humanoid commanders hold varied opinions on this matter: some treat the Slave Class troops as tools, thus have no problem forcibly applying it on them; some issue orders of applying combat drugs based on the needs of harsh reality; while some limit the use to minimal unless necessary.
The biggest issue of this however is not of anything human rights, but to fear the unknown - as the combat drugs are turning Slave Class into efficient fighters, what would they do when realizing they have such power? Would they start to demand more rights or even turn against the rest of the society, who they would see as suppressors? How would animal humanoid nation going to conflict against countless fast reproducing soldiers while fighting with human at same time?

oh, I should explain D:
Dogs = no
they're IN Animalea, but uh. . . not yet, and are /extraordinarily/ rare
also, keep the cats [not lions and crap too much] but basic felines in the working class. Generally, the Animalean -animal humanoids- don't have /MUCH/ of a nation left. We could work in some of this stuff, heh, you're kinda helping right the story xD.
Love the work though :3
Also, tremendously appreciate the reference to /MY/ mask on yours :3
good job, keep it up 8-D

Wow the perspective is really, really tasteful for my eyes, as well as the scale.
I really love everything about this, and the attention to detail, not just in imagery but also the writing I think is quite impressive.
Nothing but love for this one.

I like the complexity of this image. One question, is that the creatures hand on the upper left side of the image or a floating orb? It's rather confusing imagery.
