Description
It's been a couple of weeks without a doodle from the latest episode. I thought it'd be cool to draw Garble in his bitnick French poet get up. I'm actually kind of glad that they showed a softer side of him, even if it was more for the punchline, though the way it tied with the underlying issue was pretty neat.
Stone bongos are a thing now. I wonder if they use those to make rock music.
Season 9 continues on its way of being one dang good season, which is the least we could ask for.
Please, let me know what you think of it in the comments. I appreciate and every single one I receive.
Thank you!

Can't believe it happened. I'm surprised beyond belief. But this now makes all of Garble's actions in the past harsher now over this one outta he's hiding away his sensitive side behind a locked cage.

Thing is, looking back you can almost tell all of his actions come from a place of absolute insecurity and fear for what he truly is. Real nice redemption episode for this guy.

Yep. And like think Garble's got a lot to make amends for with said actions.

If we had an extra season we would have an episode around this subject.

We'll see what IDW's comics have in store for Garble in the years to come.

I never would have seen this coming in a million years, but I think I dig it. Too bad the writers had to come up with an excuse for a bully's bad behavior for the third damn time! Some people are just jerks, plain and simple.
Anyway, this is a really great picture. One of the few Garble arts I've ever liked. Kudos!

Some people are jerks, and we call those "Persona Bad Guys" ;D
No but I get what you're getting at, some people are just assholes and there's no ulterior motive to their actions. They just are.
Thank you so much for your comment, it means a lot to me

Who'd have thought that Garble had a soft side inside.
I'm glad that writers gave him more depth and reformed him. But now I want Lightning Dust to be reformed!

I'm glad too. It was kind of refreshing to see him outside of his Season 2 flat-line persona. It feels like the past three seasons have nothing but an apology to the simplicity of the first two.

Spike should bring his drums next time so they would become drumbros.
BEautiful work

This is so much better than the horrible way his jaw aligns in the show. All those awful teeth in terrible places. Thank you for posting this.

No prob!
I think his jaw in the show is fine, but I wasn't able to recreate that. It's one of those "my face is impossible to draw!" situations, similar to how it happens with Mr. Cake.

Well in this case it is a blessing. Imagine eating with that kind of jaw.Β
Mr.Cake does have a huge chin, now that you mention it.

He's got a Jay Leno chin.

Did he robbed those clothes from another pony, or did his sister sent him her own home-knit garb back home as a souvenir?

Nah, he buys from Canterzone, and has the clothes delivered from Rarity's Boutique over there. I'm sure he made those bongos, though.

Heheh. I'm not doing every episode, since I have commissions to work on, but I'll do as many as I can muster. This show has been integral to my development as an artist, and I want to give it a proper send off.
