Applejack's eyes followed the dangling crimson orb as it swung on its lanyard. Her guts twisted in disgust at the mishapen features on the swaying necklace-- but then Twilight began to speak.

Twilight's voice was soft as usual, yet all the more captivating as Applejack tried to focus on anything but the hideous decoration dangling from the unicorn's hoof. "She called it the 'Egg of the Princess.' For once you possess this, you are destined to rule the world in exchange for your flesh and blood..."

Forcing a snort of derision, Applejack wrenched her gaze away from the grotesque thing and back to the safer vista of Twilight's eyes. "And ya seriously believe that hooey?"

A grin flickered across Twilight's muzzle, there and gone like a flash of summer lightning. "Why, don't you?"

This one was a nice breather to work on in between other projects. While I spent a lot of time on the details, I think the end result pays itself off. I've never seen Berserk but after working on this I'll probably give it a chance. Working towards the end of this one I remember telling Fernin that I was already missing working on it. I still miss working on it, it was a very fun, very enjoyable, very enriching experience.

There's more Berserk ponies coming guys! This ain't the last one you'll see of them.
