Big thanks to for moving me to complete this one.

Here you guys have the new design for James Corck, the character that's meant to represent me.

I've been using Movie Slate to represent my artwork for years, but she was never meant to represent me as an artist. She is her own character with her own quirks and her own personality. She was never meant to be me. That will be Jamesy's task. He's loosely based on the original design I had for him (an anthro Lugia ) but in gryphon form, and a little bit of my company's logo to tie things together.

I think the gryphon is my absolute favorite mythological creature, maybe because I'm a big fan of monsters that come out of mashing two animals together, but I've rarely seen gryphon designs based on other animals besides the ones we're used to see. Immediately I ditched the usual eagle/lion combination and started to look for other ideas. In the end Jamesy has the upper body of a vulture and the hindquarters of a mountain lion, with fairly big wings to lift his fat ass off the ground. I've always liked the earthen color palettes with very soft almost desaturated tones, and applying them here was quite fun.

It's been a while since I've done a totally brand new OC for myself, so I'll let you guys judge the end results so...
