Unfortunately Canada has no desire to have architectural culture.Β Any building that is more than 40 years old usually gets demolished and replaced, usually by condominiums.Β This particular school was replaced by low rise condos.

really, thats their law for their buildings..

It's not a law, in general there are no laws for preserving buildings.Β Even if the historical building is registered all that it protects is the buildings facade, so the owner could demolish the entire building except for say the front face and still be within compliance.
