no worries, i just thought the rock was quite close to the bottom of the frame and the colours are so fantastic a minimal shot would have worked....

To be honest....I thought you were just trolling at first. Seeing as you left the original comment around the same time you were feeling very let down by DA.
I agree with what you are saying about the rock being to close to the bottom edge of the frame and that is something I noticed when I first edited the image way back when. At the same time I also think the image might be a little too simple without it....maybe I will go back and re-edit the image. Thanks.

Ok, without copy & pasting what the suggester said (LOL!!), the colours are beautiful, subtle and actually very out of the ordinary. They do draw you in because of the beauty and the lovely contrast they provide, but I think also because they seem unreal. To me anyway. This is a really good composition--simple, and easily showcasing the area you photographed.

Thank you. Yes the colours are somewhat unreal and this is an old photo of mine that when I used 2 graduated ND filters simultaneously they would give the image a distorted colour balance.

The colors of this shot immediately draw in the viewer. It is a very serene shot and nicely composed. The minimalistic foreground adds substance, as well as a nice contrast to the shot.
