Another early sketch here, as part of the planning process for my book, "Worldview" Digital Art Book.As with all my current images, there is still much work to be done to bring them up to scratch. However, I like to share the early sketches so as to hint at my design-process.

Really cool to see the process behind the pieces, it's a great concept and even though it is only the blocked shapes and color schemes it stands as is.
Do you paint over this sketch for your final piece or do you just use it for blocking/color reference? Intrigued to know more about your process.Β

Thanks again Imp - I'll definitely be adding more detail and mood to this one, but as a thumbnail it would probably be good enough. I paint over these rough pieces, but they often change a lot. As I go I do like to throw in textures of mechanical objects, so as to get some inspiration for forms.

Good stuff. I'm planning to do videos on my process of art creation, somewhen after getting this book completed.
