Description
This image is not available for use by anyone else.Created entirely in Photoshop, using a Wacom Intuos 4 large tablet. Mostly painted (default photoshop round brush) with a few building textures thrown in (my own photographs, taken in Bristol, UK and then shrunk down and twisted this way and that) plus a sky from one of my own photographs, which has been manipulated loads. Took about 1 month to do, mainly weekday evenings here and there.
Siberia is the name of the organization that controls the city. This was done for a short film. Animation would be added later i.e. vehicles, lights etc.

Yeah, I have it on my desktop! Really nice cold futuristic mood.
I keep thinking about that idea of putting giant mirrors in space so the north could get more light.

Wow this is awesome! I want to try something like this but I don't think I have the patience. Did you use a tablet to paint it?

Thanks Jason - yes a tablet is essential for any painting. I use an Wacom Intuos 4 large. However, I was using a wacom bamboo pen and touch until fairly recently, which is much smaller and cheaper but still very good and liberating compared with using a mouse.
