This image is not available for use by anyone else.Created entirely in Photoshop, using a Wacom Intuos 4 large tablet. Mostly painted (default photoshop round brush) with a few building textures thrown in (my own photographs, taken in Bristol, UK and then shrunk down and twisted this way and that) plus a sky from one of my own photographs, which has been manipulated loads. Took about 1 month to do, mainly weekday evenings here and there.
Siberia is the name of the organization that controls the city. This was done for a short film. Animation would be added later i.e. vehicles, lights etc.

I like your different uses of and sources of light in this. While it is over all quite dark, it still speaks light and life into a desolate looking landscape.

I like the idea of taking two photos, combining them, and then manipulating them. So far I've tried it with just one photo but I'd like to try what you did soon. I love what you did with the sky.

An excellent cityscape which I absolutely adore! The part that stands out to me though is what I think might be favelas on the lower left hand side. This could show the separation of power in this city. another thing I am noticing is that as of this picture, the city is extremely cold and orderly. A symbol of people complying with a corporation's wishes. I wonder what the story is behind the city with the statue on top of it. Very artistic. I also spy a rifle in the statue's hand. It wouldn't surprise me very much if this was a Russian City or one that follows a Bloc style approach to its society.

That is an excellent overview of the city - it is exactly that! Clearly I did a good job, which is very satisfying. I don't know what happened to the finished project as I never heard from them again unfortunately. I did get paid though, which is the main thing.

You're not worried you got cheated or anything like that? I would get the money up front before your job begins. You know, just to avoid people running off with your piece after it's done.

It was ok - I got paid for it which is the main thing. I think a lot of projects just get cancelled.
