This image is a personal project, so doesn't belong to anyone else, i.e. a client.The full license for this image is £10 ($15).A very rough sketch/painting from a few months ago. I forgot I had done it. The whole thing was painted by myself, using no resources, references or custom brushes. I used the default round brush in photoshop and created the composition as I went along.
This quick concept was created in less than a day and a similar image would cost £100 ($160) including revisions.

thanks. Indeed - I am spending WAY too much time getting the perspective right generally. It's particularly hard with curved objects of course. I keep promising myself I will learn C4D, which I actually already have!

Right now the software I have is C4D, 3DS max, Hexagon, Maya, Daz Studio, Poser, Lightwave and Paint Shop Pro. I won't even touch anything by Adobe. It's just too hard to learn. Keep in mind I only use half of that software.

Photoshop was bad enough - I had a look at adobe illustrator in an attempt to design a logo - what a nightmare. It looked more immense than photoshop so I gave up.
Sometimes it's just so hard to sit down and learn something new cos it means starting at the very bottom again and working up gradually, especially as there are only so many hours in the day! I hear maya is awesome, and very pricey!

I could probably soar using photoshop but I would really have to get used to the controls. PSP has tons of plugins that make short work of things Photoshop takes hours to do like making planets it takes me like 3 minutes, plus 3 or 4 for space another 5 for some nebulas (which photoshop does well) and poof space scene. I only need Photoshop to do certain this PSP won't or can't and I gotta say Photoshop has great 3rd party support.

I like the dark gritty feel of the piece, it gives it a real "underworld" feel. I'd love to see a finished version.
