My inspiration comes from lots of things. I grew up with star wars, and lots of other sci-fi films. I played lots of video games too. It's' not the characters that inspire me, it's the environments and mood.
But, my current inspiration probably comes from watching science/philosophy/history documentaries on youtube. I am very influenced by understanding the 'bleakness' of the worlds societies.
I don't watch any regular tv - it's too boring and mundane, full of advertising and repeats, that are shown over and over.
I don't listen to regular radio stations - too mundane, repetitive and full of noisy advertisements. I love classical music like Beethoven etc, or orchestral soundtracks.
I like information, which stretches my imagination.
I don't have a plan when I do my pictures. I just dive in and see where they end up. Too much planning makes me confused. However, I do use composition techniques, like the rule of thirds etc.
I can get bored if I am working on the same picture for too long, but I am usually working on lots of pictures at the same time, so I can move back and forth between them.

You are right! The regular Tv is... >.<
Some movies are good, I like it to watch movies and a few of series, but than I receive it.
But music is for me the main-inspiration. In my playlist are so many Genres, which I hear, depend on my mood.
Do you have any time to read Books? They inspire me also.
Would you make next to your Tutorial, a WIP.? I mean, where I and all other can see, how you work? Or is it too privat?
How looks the prozess from the sketch, where you haven't a plan to the finished artwork?

Yes of course - movies can be excellent inspiration. Good that you listen to lots of different genres. I read books when I can - not as many s I'd like.
Hopefully gonna start working on a tutorial tomorrow. I will see what method works out best.

A friend told me, art haven't any frontiers. After this can't save me of inspiration! I realise, that I can draw everything. Thats a problem, because a lot of time, Im sitting in school or have to learn. >.<
Would you answer me a question, which is maybe a little more complicatet? (Mainly complicate for me xP) I would send you a note. But maybe you haven't any time. ... So I ask you before.
Iam excited for your tutorial! ^o^ That will be great!
Don't you have any commisions at the time?

I have loads of commissions at the moment, most of them I can't display on my portfolio until I have permission to, as the projects are secret. This is quite common though.

Ah okay. Now I understand it.
Thank you soo much, that you explain me so much. I think you get every day so much notes and stacks... but you answer me again and again... ^^
Thank you really much, that isn't a implicitness.

I like the confined, intimate kind of environment here. Well done.

Once I added the ceiling light bulb and smoke, which scatters the light, the original shadow i had didn't look right - there is too much light in the area to make his shadow stand out amongst all the other shadows.
