~newtypeshadow and I powered through all three of the Robocop movies this weekend. I don't want to live in Detroit.
So much squandered potential in those movies. The first one set up a good premise with deciding whether Murphy was Robot or Cop... then in the second set up to be a great story about his family and whether or not he could be with them since he's kind of Murphy and kind of not but no... that plotline wasn't important enough to follow. Neither were any of the others except the one where the robocops fight and things explode. Then the third one was so tacky... and that girl is so wooden.

Man... we've long left the 80s back and are well inside the XXI century.... when are we going to get our robocops? At the very least we could use the ED-209. I know the army and marines would love to deply that one in Iraq and A-stan.

From what I've heard, it didnt' need the Robocop press to start with and I'm sure since the eighties it hasn't helped out much.

Also I wouldn't want to live in robocop detroit, though the real detroid is proably a bit different

I loved the first RoboCop, it's the only one I've seen all the way and I saw it when I was 9 or 10. It started up my life long obsession with robots and science fiction.

The first two were great, but I was so disappointed in the third film

XD, I watched that a few times as well. Along with some other unbelievably terrible movies. I watch the SciFi, excuse me SyFy movies every Saturday and Sunday.

YES! I miss these movies( I didn't even know there was a three until I read tvtropes a month ago). Although, I still can't watch the scene where he gets shot. I remember it being much worse when I saw it as a child.
